Location: 4832 Hells Gate Road, Lewiston, Idaho in Hellsgate State Park. Take Snake River Avenue South 4 miles south from Lewiston's Main Street.

Features: Interpretive displays include, an Indian tepee, a display about Lewis and Clark's difficult route through the Bitterroot Mountains, a dugout canoe display, a salmon stream and a bronze cougar sculpture. A 30 minute video Lewis & Clark: From the Mountains to the Sea is shown every day on the hour starting at 9 a.m. Idaho State Department of Parks and Recreation operates the center and a gift shop.

Hours: Open daily 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Fees: A $4 per vehicle day use fee is charged to enter the park. Plan to spend the day. Tour the museum, see the video, swim, and picnic in Hellsgate State Park.
