AmeriCorps Seeks Hosts from Around Idaho

Lewis-Clark Service Corps at Lewis-Clark State College is seeking host agencies from anywhere in Idaho interested in hosting an AmeriCorps member for the upcoming program year beginning Sept. 1, 2006.

The LC Service Corps AmeriCorps members serve as tutors and mentors, providing academic tutoring, teacher support, career counseling, academic advising and support services to target populations, helping students successfully deal with the challenges of staying in or returning to school and planning for their future. In the past, host sites have included after-school programs, public schools, institutions of higher education and community-based or faith-based organizations with an education component. Host agencies pay a cash match of $4,600 for a full-time member (1,720 hours) and $3,200 for a part-time member (920 hours.)
