The Young Marines is an organization for youth between 8 and 18 that teaches positive values, leadership, patriotism, and good citizenship. Young Marines learn respect for themselves and others, the importance of staying in school and the importance of health and fitness.

Young marines learn new skills while earning rank and award ribbons in CPR, swimming, map reading, first, aid drug prevention, academic achievement, music, conservation, community service, physical fitness and drill competitions.
